What can I donate?

Seasonal Decor 

Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other holiday decorations - both indoor and outdoor. 

We accept artificial Christmas trees, wreaths and ornaments. 

 

Appliances

Refrigerators, freezers, stoves, vent hoods, washers, and dryers - 6 years or newer.

We cannot accept garbage disposals.

 

New Building Materials

Drywall (4′x4′ or 4′x8′). Lumber (6′ or longer). Plywood or OSB (2′x4′ or larger). Baseboard, trim (6′ or longer).

​

We cannot accept separate door hardware such as handles or hinges unless they are new and in-box. We no longer accept used building materials.

​

Doors

Residential interior doors (wood, metal, bi-fold, or glass). Exterior doors. New storm doors. New sliding patio doors (72" x 80" or smaller). Please remove and bag door hardware.

​

We cannot accept new/used: commercial doors, fire-rated doors, hollow core doors, hand-painted doors, exterior wood doors, mirrored doors, shower doors, garage doors or openers, used storm doors or used patio doors.

​

New Electrical

Residential, current code and new only: electrical parts, wire, hardware, outlets, plate covers, and light switches in their original packaging.​

​

Flooring, Carpet, Rugs, & Tile

Clean, unstained, pet-free rugs. 200 ft or more unopened boxes of luxury plank vinyl, laminate (US made), hardwood, tile (ceramic, porcelain, or stone). Three or more unopened boxes of mosaic tile. Unopened grout, mortar, or adhesive if packaged in a plastic bag.

We cannot accept used flooring or tile. Loose or partial boxes of tile. Partial containers of grout, mortar, or adhesive.

​

Furniture 

Leather/upholstered chairs, couches, loveseats, ottomans, etc. Dining tables with matching chairs, futon frames, home office desks, bookshelves, side tables, and coffee tables. Dressers, nightstands, and beds (must include matching headboard, footboard, side rails, and hardware).

We cannot accept metal bed frames, cribs, mattresses, box springs, disassembled desks and bookshelves, sofa beds, hide-a-beds, and sleeper sofas. No hand-painted furniture, or dining tables without matching chairs. We also cannot accept any "DIY" brand furniture, such as IKEA. Upholstered furniture may or may not be accepted based on its condition and pattern. Decisions are made at the discretion of the ReStore staff.

Hardware & Fasteners

Residential door knobs, hinges, and locks (except bass), original boxes of fasteners. Drop-off only.

​

We cannot accept cans or jars of fasteners. No commercial hardware.

​

Home Exterior

New shingles (3 bundles or more, one year or newer), new insulation (bagged or sheets), new gutters.

​

We cannot accept used gutters, loose insulation, shingles, shutters, new or used siding, garage doors, or garage door openers.

​

Home Goods

New shutters, framed mirrors, large, framed art, lamps, small appliances such as coffeemakers and crockpots, clean, unstained, pet-free new rugs, sets of dishes, sets of pots and pans, sets of silverware. Items must be packed for transportation to our store in set's of four or more. 

​

We cannot accept window coverings including any blinds, curtains, and valences; unframed mirrors or glass. 

​

New Heating, Venting, and Air Conditioning

Venting materials, and new water heaters. Residential size only. 

​

We cannot accept furnaces, central air systems or used water heaters. 

​

Kitchen Cabinets

Stained or factory painted. New uninstalled laminate countertop. Cabinet knobs and other cabinet hardware.

​

We cannot accept countertops (granite, manufactured, or used laminate countertops). 

​

Landscaping, Lawn & Garden

New edging and fencing, lawn or patio furniture, yard tools, working lawn movers, and snow blowers (6 years or newer).

​

We cannot accept used edging and fencing, loose landscape rocks, gas/oil, gas cans, playground equipment, grills, or dirty materials.

​

Lighting & Fans

Chandeliers, flush mount lights, pendant lights, and sconces (must include all mounting hardware). Table lamps, floor lamps, new in box LED light bulbs, and new in box ceiling fans.

​

We cannot accept track lighting, fluorescent light fixtures, or commercial lighting. No non-LED light bulbs or used light bulbs.

​

Office Furniture

Desks, office chairs, lobby furniture, breakroom furniture, refrigerators (6 years or newer), and file cabinets. 

​

We cannot accept built-in cabinets, metal desks, cubicles, or conference room tables. ​

​

Plumbing & Bathroom

New tubs, new medicine cabinets, new shower surrounds, new PVC, and metal piping (6’ or longer). Plumbing supplies, sinks (w/o faucets), & vanities - all 10 years or newer. 

​

We cannot accept used faucets, factory-molded sinks, cast iron sinks, shower doors, unframed mirrors, water softeners, commercial plumbing, or used toilets. 

​

Tools

Brand name working power tools. Lithium-Ion cordless power tools. Hand tools. Aluminum or fiberglass ladders. Shop-vacs. Tools must have all factory-installed safety features.

​

We cannot accept recalled items, radial arms saws, homemade tools, nickel-cadmium or older cordless power tools, corded power tools older than 6 years, or wooden ladders.

​

New Windows

New complete units with all sashes and frames.

​

We cannot accept used windows, New or used: single pane windows, storm windows, wood screens, replacement sashes, or frames.

​

Media & Entertainment

We accept books, cd's dvd's, blu-ray, VHS, vinyl, video games and consoles, digital cameras, lenses, musical instruments, and complete board games. 

​

(We cannot accept board games with missing pieces.)

​

Toys

We accept children's toys and stuffed animals. 

 

(Toys must be clean, in good condition and stuffed animals must be clean - without stains, rips or missing parts.)

​

Sports

We accept balls, bats. gloves, helmets, skis, snowboards, skateboards, golf clubs, wearable equipment such as shoulder pads and shin guards, etc. 

​

Accessories

We accept jewelry, watches, handbags, purses and accessories. 

​

Arts & Crafts

We accept craft kits, pens & markers, yarn, crayons and pastels, canvas & art paper. 

(Craft Kits must be unopened and unused. Please only donate yarn that is in full skeins or balls.)

​

Collectibles & Memorabilia 

We accept action figures, comic books, movie & music memorabilia and sports cards.
